「樹木雖離根，卻能在每一個人心中紮根。」
團隊尊重每一份天然資源，每一棵樹木的成長都來之不易，對於地球的愛護，身為居住者之一的我們必須挺身而出，台灣一年進口木材與家具近 700 萬公噸，但國產材利用與家具創作卻甚為稀少，如果能夠善用原本就需疏伐的廢棄林木，進行「零廢棄」的過程，創 造森林循環的產業生態系，不僅可以提升廢棄林木的使用效率，另一方面也能促進林木產業鏈的經濟效益。因此團隊與政府單位、在地學校等數十個國中小及大學合作，透過演講分享森林循環再利用，鼓勵更多企業與年輕人一起加入發展生態永續的循環經濟。以提出不一樣的思考與積極作法－技術修補、價值陳述、循環創生，不再視為林廢、林剩餘，將其轉為林資材，達到樹木紮根於心的力量。
“Wood takes root in everyone’s heart”
Our team respects each natural resource. Every tree is hard to come by. As one of the inhabitants of the earth, we must step up to the plate to care for it. Taiwan imports nearly 7 million tons of wood and wooden furniture a year, but the use of domestically produced wood and furniture creation is very rare. If we can make good use of the trees that need to be pruned and cut down to achieve “zero waste” and create a forest cycle ecosystem, we can improve the utilization rate of abandoned wood on the one hand, and promote the economic benefits of the forest tree industry chain on the other. The team collaborated with the government, junior high schools, elementary schools, and universities to share their views on forest recycling and encourage more enterprises and young people to join in developing an ecologically sustainable circular economy. The team proposed a brand-new thinking and a positive approach – technical repair, value statements, and recycling – to turn waste wood into resources and to achieve the power of rooting trees in people’s hearts.
