一襲中山裝、腳穿輪胎涼鞋是越南國父胡志明的經典裝扮。由手工打造的輪胎涼鞋，每一雙都是獨一無二的，有利在山區、叢林行走，在越南抗法、抗美時期成為士兵與將帥的戰鞋，也是越南爭取獨立、統一的象徵。而戰後越南物質條件不豐，輪胎涼鞋因便宜耐穿，成了越南男性人腳一雙的「國民涼鞋」。
A Zhongshan suit and tire sandals are the iconic attire of Vietnam’s founding father, Ho Chi Minh. These handmade tire sandals, each pair unique, are well-suited for walking in mountainous and jungle terrains. During the periods of resistance against the French and the Americans, they became the combat shoes of soldiers and commanders alike, symbolizing Vietnam’s struggle for independence and unity. After the war, due to Vietnam’s limited material conditions, tire sandals became a staple for Vietnamese men, known for being affordable and durable, earning the nickname “national sandals.”
