Yu Ching Plastics is a Taichung-based blow moulding manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in product design, mould development, and production. To advance circular manufacturing, the company incorporates discarded fishing nets and post-consumer recycled plastics into its products. Guided by mono-material, modular, detachable, and lightweight design, it developed the **Stackable Marine-Waste Utility Case**, overcoming technical barriers to using recycled marine plastics in blow moulding. The project demonstrates how material innovation and circular design can transform plastic waste into durable products that support reuse and future recycling.

海廢萬用盒 Ocean Plastic Utility Box 將回收海廢漁網與消費後塑膠再生料，製成100%再生聚乙烯（PE）萬用箱，突破海廢材料應用於中空吹塑製程的技術限制。箱體採單一材質與易拆卸扣件設計，使用壽命結束後更容易拆解回收；重量較原設計減輕20%，並透過正反凹凸紋理提升堆疊穩定性，節省運輸空間。可彈性配置的內部空間，能作為工具、文具及各類物品的收納箱，展現海洋廢棄物兼具實用性與設計感的再生可能。 The product overcomes technical challenges in applying marine-waste materials to blow moulding. Its mono-material body and detachable fasteners make disassembly and recycling easier at the end of its useful life. The case is also 20% lighter, while interlocking surface patterns improve stacking stability and reduce transport volume. Its adaptable interior can store tools, stationery, and other everyday items, demonstrating how marine plastic waste can become a practical and thoughtfully designed product. |
