Su_hua_gung_lu creates with natural materials and inspiration drawn from local life. Cypress offcuts and pruned guava branches are collected, cleaned, polished, and handcrafted into kokedama displays and functional objects. Instead of forcing each piece into a standard form, the design follows the wood’s natural curves, knots, and textures. This approach gives agricultural trimmings and leftover timber a renewed purpose. As the plants continue to grow and change, each work becomes more than a decorative object—it is a living miniature landscape shaped by care, time, and the changing seasons.

This piece combines cypress
wood with pruned guava
branches, preserving their natural
curves, knots, and textures. After
careful cleaning and assembly, the wood is transformed into a sculptural stand for kokedama and living plants. By giving agricultural trimmings and leftover timber a new purpose, the work creates a miniature landscape where reclaimed natural materials and plant life continue to grow together.
